ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that he is residing along with his family members in Door No.4, Munusamy Street, Gokulam Colony Extension, No.7, Kaaranai Puducherry, Kanchipuram District, and the said property is assessed to all statutory levies. The petitioner would further state that the second respondent has issued a Family Card/Ration Card bearing No.01G0394593 to him during the month of June, 2005, and the said Family Card was misplaced inadvertently on 21.12.2013, and thereafter, he lodged a police complaint on the file of the jurisdictional police and the concerned police official, after enquiry, has also issued a certificate dated 21.12.2013, stating that the above said Ration Card issued to the petitioner, is not traceable.

Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted an application/representation dated 23.12.2013, along with necessary documents to the second respondent, for issuance of a new Family Card/Ration Card and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.This Court, without going into the merits of the representation/application submitted by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 6.2.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
