Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 herein to issue patta towards the housing land Part No.C-74, extent about 2 1/2 cents En-boundary with, East by the school of physically challenged children, west by one Mr.Sundara Mourthy's house, North by Mrs.D.Uma's vacant housing land and South by one Mr.Pugazhendhi's vacant land siutated in Kannusamy Nagar, 1st ward, kaspa within the limit of Chidambaram Municipality, Chidambaram Town and Taluk, Cuddalore District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2021.

O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) According to the petitioner, he is a landless poor person. Earlier, the petitioner's relatives were residing in Housing Plot Part No.C74, Chidambaram Town measuring about 2 1/2 cents. Thereafter, from the year 2018, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same and he is also paying the taxes. In this regard, he made a representation to the second and third respondents dated 28.04.2021, to grant patta, but so far no orders have been passed, hence he filed the present writ petition.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the third respondent will consider the said representation of the petitioner and will pass suitable orders on merit.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.04.2021 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
