ORDER

By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to consider the representation dated 29.01.2024 and rectify the erroneous calculation of the built-up area, UDS and the like.

2. The petitioner states that she is the absolute owner of a flat at Mogappair West having a plinth area of 469 sq.ft., UDS 61 sq.ft. and total built-up area 530 sq.ft. According to the petitioner, the property tax was computed based on erroneous measurements. After submitting a representation dated 29.01.2024, in such regard, the present writ petition was filed.

3. Ms.Aswini Devi, learned standing counsel for the Chennai Corporation, accepts notice for the respondent. She submits that measurements would be taken in the presence of the petitioner and the petitioner's representation would be disposed of on such basis.

4. In view of the said submission of learned standing counsel for the 2/4

Chennai Corporation, W.P.No.12140 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent to undertake measurement of the petitioner's property and thereafter consider and dispose of the representation dated 29.01.2024. The above exercise shall be completed within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms without any order as to costs.
