ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to clean the drainage in the drainage channel, located at Mangalam Village, morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition.

2.According to the petitioner, the residents of that area, have reported symptoms of waterborne diseases due to the dilapidated condition of the drainage channel in Mangalam Village. According to the petitioner, the Medical Officer of Primary Health Centre, Mangalam had also forwarded a reply dated 28.02.2026, wherein it is mentioned that the team of medical officers had inspected the drainage and they have found that there is a drainage block, which affects public health and also leads to mosquito breeding. The petitioner had given several representations to the respondents to clean the drainage channel and the last such representation was given by him on 23.02.2026. Since the representations of the petitioner have not been considered by the respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Since the complaint lodged by the petitioner and other residents of the area is serious in nature, necessarily, the representations of the petitioner have to be considered by the respondents, within a short time. 6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's last representation dated 23.02.2026 seeking for cleaning of the drainage channel in Mangalam Village to ensure that all the residents of the said village are not affected by any waterborne diseases, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
