Crime No.283 of 2021 Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., praying to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners in the event of their arrest in Crime No.283 of 2021 pending investigation on the file of respondent police.

ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aa) r/w 4(1-A) ii of TNP Act, in Crime No.283 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were found in possession of 60 litres of I.D. Arrack. Hence, a case was registered against the petitioners.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioners were found in possession of 60 litres of I.D.Arrack. He would further submit that A1 is having four previous cases and A2 is having three previous cases. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Hence, he vehemently oppose to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioners are having more previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
