Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 31.01.2019 and grant patta to the petitioner in respect of Natham land in S.No.111-28, Thandalai Village, Tiruvarur Taluk, Tiruvarur District.

ORDER

Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider her representation dated 31.01.2019, wherein and whereby, she sought for grant of patta in her favour in respect of Natham land in S.No.111-28, Thandalai Village, Tiruvarur Taluk, Tiruvarur District.

3. It is stated that the first respondent has already sent a communication to the second respondent to conduct an enquiry with regard to the request of the petitioner and report the same to him. Now, it is stated that the respondents are yet to pass https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

any orders on the request made by the petitioner.

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents to consider and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.01.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
