ORDER

The petitioner who was arrested on 10.04.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the offences under Sections 4(1)(a) and 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Cr.No.189 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 150 liters of ID Arrack. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that he is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and a proposal has been sent to the Government to detain the petitioner under the Goondas Act. He would further submit that there are six previous cases pending against the petitioner.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this is not a fit case for grant of bail.
