ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)aaa, 4(1-A)ii of TNP Act and 6 and 7 of R.S.Rules, 2000 in Crime No.511 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner and the other accused were found in illegal possession of 105 liters of illicit liquor. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner was found in possession of 105 liters of illicit liquor and she has 5 previous cases on the file of the respondent police and 39 previous cases on the file of the Town Police Station, Tiruvannamalai. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has number of previous cases pending against her, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and accordingly, this Criminal original petition stands dismissed.
