ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2021 for making corrections in the Revenue Records within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that, in the year 2007, the 4th respondent handed over 49 cents of land under the Scheme of Landless Farming Families in Order No.DKT/16/141 in favour of the petitioner's wife. Subsequent to the allotment of the said land, the petitioner is cultivating and enjoying "Thoppu Poramboke" agricultural land for many years. Further, the petitioner came to know that the Survey Number for the alloted land is incorrect and in order to avail the Government benefit and welfare schemes, the petitioner made a representation dated 19.03.2019 before the 4th respondent, seeking for amendment/corrections in the land register. Thereafter, the 4th respondent 2/5
sent a report on 27.08.2019 to the 3rd respondent, stating that village enquiry was conducted in respect of Survey No.121/8, which is in petitioner's enjoyment, and the said survey number is incorrect and action can be taken to correct the village circle accounts as Survey No.109/2. Again, the petitioner made another representation dated 22.06.2021 before the respondents, seeking to amend/correct the survey number. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2021 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no objection for said order being passed.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2021 and pass appropriate orders on 3/5
merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 27.06.2022 Index : Yes / No Speaking order : Yes / No jd To
