O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 341, 294 (b), 323, 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, in Crime No.564 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant along with other people tried to remove the encroachments made by the accused in the ground floor, the accused herein abused the defacto complainant and assaulted him badly with Aruval, wooden logs and knife. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioners assualted the defacto complainant with Aruval on his head. He further submits that the first petitioner has fourty seven previous cases, the second petitioner has twelve previous cases, third petitioner has five previous cases and the fourth petitioner has three previous cases. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions of the learned counsel and the fact that the petitioners have too many previous cases pending against them, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
