PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first Respondent to provide police protection to fence the property comprised in S.No.96/9 measuring to an extent of 52 cents, situated at Uppuvellore village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District which was surveyed by the 4th respondent by considering the representation dated 06.02.2025 within a stipulated period.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first Respondent to provide police protection to fence the property comprised in S.No.96/9 measuring to an extent of 52 cents, situated at Uppuvellore village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District which was surveyed by the 4th respondent by considering the representation dated 06.02.2025 within a stipulated period.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the first respondent and the learned

Special Government Pleader for the respondents 2 to 4 and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned property comprised in S.No.96/9 measuring to an extent of 52 cents, situated at Uppuvellore village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District. In order to fence the property, the petitioner submitted an application to survey the property along with the requisite fees. The fourth respondent visited the property to conduct the survey. While conducting survey, the neighbouring owners objected and prevented the surveyor from surveying the property. In this regard, the petitioner had already lodged a complaint and was issued CSR in CSR.No.115 of 2025.

In view of the above, if the fourth respondent finds any obstruction from the neighbouring land owners while surveying the petitioner's land, the fourth respondent can very well seek police protection before the first respondent. On such request, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate order to

provide police protection to the fourth respondent for conducting the survey and fixing the boundaries of the petitioner's property.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition petition is disposed of. No costs.
