ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to award marks to the petitioner for Question Nos.53, 23, 149 and 152 in 'B' series question booklet in the recruitment examination for direction Sub-Inspector of Police held on 13.01.2020 conducted by the respondent.
2. According to the petitioner, he has correctly answered Question Nos.53, 23, 149 and 152 in 'B' series question booklet in the aforementioned recruitment examination. If he was awarded marks for the said questions, his claim is that he would have got selected for the post of direct Sub-Inspector of Police. He has given a representation on 18.03.2020 to the respondent, requesting the respondent to award marks to the petitioner for the aforementioned questions. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the 2 / 6
relief stated supra.
3. Counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent denying the contentions of the petitioner. They dispute the contention of the petitioner that he had given right answers for Question Nos.53, 23, 149 and 152 in 'B' series question booklet .
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

During the pendency of this Writ Petition, the Madurai Bench of this Court, in a similar matter in W.P.(MD).No.197 of 2021, etc. batch, whereinalso the issue raised with regard to the correctness of the key answers given by the respondent with regard to certain questions, was under consideration, this Court, by order dated 16.02.2021, referred the issue of revaluation to the One Man Committee, which had to submit a report before this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner now submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if his representation is considered in the light of the report of the One Man Committee, dated 22.01.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if such a direction is issued by this Court.

For the reasons stated above, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 18.03.2020, requesting for award of marks in his favour for Question Nos.53, 23, 149 and 152 in 'B' series question booklet in the recruitment examination for direct S.I. of Police held on 13.01.2020 in the light of the One Man Committee's report, dated 22.01.2021, which was placed before the Madurai Bench of this Court in the said decision, involving the similar issue, whereinalso, the petitioner therein had objected to the key answers given by the respondent, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above observations and directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P. is closed.
