ORDER

The petitioner who was arrested on 21.04.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the offences under Section 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Cr.No.156 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 110 ltrs of ID Arrack. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner is a habitual offender and that there are 27 previous cases of similar nature pending as against the petitioner and a proposal has been sent to the Government to detain the petitioner under the Goondas Act.

5.Considering the stage of investigation and also that there is a proposal to detain the petitioner under the Goondas Act, this is not a fit case for grant of bail.
