Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to dispose the revision petition filed before the first respondent dated 13.05.2005 against the order of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.36434/2003 (J2) dated 21.03.2005.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the

revision petition filed on 13.05.2005, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property and the DRO, Krishnagiri passed an order dated 21.05.2005 by altering the patta which is standing in the name of the petitioner. Aggrieved by the same the petitioner filed revision petition before the first respondent on 13.05.2005.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the revision petition has not been disposed of till date. Hence this writ petition has been filed seeking for appropriate direction.

4. Heard Mr.V.Raghavachari, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition and also the fact that the revision petition has been pending before the first respondent for nearly 15 years, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to immediately take up the Revision Petition filed by the petitioner on 13.05.2005 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and pass appropriate order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of the Revision Petition dated 13.05.2005 and a copy of this order. The first respondent shall give sufficient opportunity to the third respondent before passing the final order.

6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No cost.
