Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detenu's detention order passed by the second respondent in BCDFGISSSV No.29/2022 dated 24.03.2022 and set aside the same and produce the detenu Salman Sheik S/o.Yusuff Sheik, aged about 23 years, now detained at Central Prison, Puzhal, before this Court and set him at liberty. [Made by RMT. TEEKAA RAMAN, J.] The petitioner is the mother of the detenu viz., Salman Sheik S/o.Yusuff Sheik, aged about 23 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in BCDFGISSSV No.29/2022 dated 24.03.2022, holding him to be a "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(e) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in BCDFGISSSV No.29/2022 dated 24.03.2022, on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.2585, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 06.05.2022 and produced a copy of the said order. In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
