J U D G M E N T

(JUDGMENT OF THE COURT WAS MADE BY K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The appellant who is an employee of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board appears to have filed an appeal on 18.01.2018 to the Board objecting to the seniority list prepared by the Corporation for the purpose of giving promotion. Since there was no follow up action taken by the respondent for disposal, the appellant filed the writ petition. Since the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition was not clear with regard to the nature of the appeal, the learned Single Judge dismissed the writ petition. Feeling aggrieved, the appellant is before us.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent fairly submitted that the appeal filed by the appellant is pending on the file of the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board and it will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible.

3. We direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by the appellant on 18.01.2018, on its own

merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

4. The intra court appeal is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
