This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 99 days in filing the criminal appeal against the impugned order dated 28.10.2024 passed in C.A.No.558 of 2023 by the learned XVIII Additional City Civil Judge, Chennai.

2. Mr.R.Sreerangan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has miserably failed to explain the delay of 99 days in filing the above appeal and hence, he vehemently opposed for allowing this petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. Satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition stands allowed.

5. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and list the same for admission in due course.
