Respondents PRAYER: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to call for fresh tender for carrying out work of Extension, Renovation and Modemization of Kalingarayan Channel from Mile 15-4.5-195 to 56-5.5-328 in Erode District by split up the works instead of package system.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mrs.S.Anitha, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instruction submitted that the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to call for fresh tender. However, the tender was over and the work mentioned in this petition was already completed in the year 2022 itself. Hence the petitioner's request in this writ petition has become infructuous and devoid of merits.
2. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter and hence, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
