O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for a writ of mandamus directing respondents to initiate appropriate action on her representation dated 18.04.2016 and give

protection to her and her sons from the harassment of the 3rd respondent police.

2. Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Pugalenthi, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, this Court found that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 18.04.2016 by registered post with acknowledgment due to the Home Secretary and Police officials and not to the Station House Officer, as required under Section 154 Cr.P.C.

4. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to lodge a fresh complaint to the Inspector of Police, P-1, Pulianthope Police Station, Chennai-12 and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and take action in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
