[ RESPONDENTS ] Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of mandamus to forbear the third respondent or his men or subordinates from in any manner taking any action against the petitioner and his servants in dropping down Palm Juice (PATHANEER) from the palm trees at Theethampettai village, Nagapattinam Village in view and selling in the same of the permit granted by the 2nd respondent.

Heard Mr.S.Balasubramanian, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Lakshmi Nayaranan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepting notice on behalf of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the respondents and with the consent of learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner is said to have been granted licence for tapping toddy, by the Assistant Director, Kadhi and Village Industries, Thanjavur, and the licence is valid upto 31.12.2018. The petitioner has some grievance against the Police Officials by referring to an incident, which is alleged to have taken place on 16.03.2016, when the petitioner's workmen are said to have been tapping toddy. 3.In my view, the contents of the representation is wholly directed against the individual Police Officials and that cannot be a ground to entertain this Writ Petition and issue a direction as sought for. Though the copy of the licence has been appended in the typed set of papers, it is not known as to whether there is any violation of the licence conditions etc.
4.In the light of the above, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner has any grievance against any individual Police Officials, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the higher officials by way of proper complaint. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
