O R D E R

In Crl.OP.No.19922 of 2018, this Court issued the following directions on 11.08.2018:

"Taking into consideration the nature of allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.2178 of 2017, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

due intimation to the de facto complainant, provided there is no any legal impediment.

With the above direction, this petition is closed".

2. Alleging that the respondent failed to comply with the aforesaid directions, this contempt petition is filed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the investigation in Crime No.2178 of 2017 has been completed and the case has been closed as "mistake of fact" on 22.07.2019 and the RCS notice has also been sent to the petitioner/de facto complainant. However, a copy of the closure report is furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner across the bar.

4. In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
