O R D E R

This Court by an orders dated 23.08.2018 & 16.08.2018 directed the respondents to deposit the award amount as per the judgment passed in 2/4

A.S.No.134 of 2015 dated 03.08.2015 within a period of six weeks . Since the orders have not been complied with, the present contempt petitions have been filed.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the District Revenue Officer and the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai present before this Court.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that against the order passed in the L.A.O.Ps, batch of appeals have been filed by the Revenue Divisional Officer in A.S.Nos.839, 841, 842, 986 and 987 of 2019 and the Division Bench of this Court by an order dated 05.12.2019 allowed the appeals fixing the compensation at the rate of Rs.57/- per square feet and the respondents were also directed to pay the compensation amount along with interest within a period of twelve weeks. According to the respondents, now they have already sent a proposal to the Government and the same is pending and as soon the proposal is accepted , the amount will be paid to the petitioners.
