By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

The petitioner claims that he is the owner of punja land admeasuring to an extent of 0.20.5 acres situated in Survey No.333/2 at Vengur Village, Thirukovilur Taluk and he has inherited the said property from his father and his father was given patta in respect of the said land on 19-06-1971 by the Settlement Tahsildar, South Arcot District. The petitioner would further state that there exists a burial ground on the survey No.333/3 measuring an extent of 0.06.5 acres in Vengur Village which lies adjacent to his lands and though the said land is actually a punja land, due to inadvertence, it has been entered as burial ground in the UDR Register. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 17-02-2015 before the first respondent praying for issuance of patta in his name in respect of the land admeasuring to an extent of 0.20.5 acres Vengur Village, Thirukovilur Taluk and the first respondent has forwarded the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

application to the second respondent for necessary steps. Since no orders have been passed, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of Mr. K.S. Viswanathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R. Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents. 4.

Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the decision taken, shall be communicated to the petitioner.
