Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents 1,2,3,5 and 6.

2. It is stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition that the 6th respondent, in his letter dated 04.04.2016, stated that the encroached area is coming within the jurisdiction and boundary of Salem City Corporation and the Corporation can remove the encroachments and the same was informed to the Writ Petitioner and the District Collector.

3. Taking into consideration the above aspect, the order passed earlier by this Court dated 23.11.2015 is modified as under:- ""We direct the Commissioner, Salem City Corporation, Salem, if, on inspection, it is found that there are encroachments, necessary steps shall be taken to remove the same, after due notice and due hearing of the respective parties.
