ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent herein to issue patta to the petitioner for the property situated at Plot No.1-A, admeasuring an extent of 172.50 Sq.mt (1856.70 Sq.ft) in the approved layout vide No.P.P.D/L.O.No.26/2010 comprised in Old Survey No.8/2 and New Survey No.155/2 (Part) and Old Survey No.155/2B1 & 156/2A, as per New Survey No.156/28F at Padiyanallur Village, Ponneri Taluk,
2. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property has been purchased by the petitioner from one Mrs.A.Arokiamary through her power agent Mr.Durga Prasad. According to the petitioner, she is a bonafide purchaser of the said property. Therefore, the petitioner had applied to the second respondent for issuance of patta in her name Page No.2 of 4
through an Application No.2023/0105/01/499763 dated 31.05.2023. But the same has not been considered by the second respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. Heard Mr.K.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 31.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
