This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case on the basis of petitioner's complaint dated 20.06.2016 in CSR No.308 of 2016 and investigate the same according to law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that Jaganathan, husband of Susila [the petitioner herein] is an accused in Cr.No.317 of 2016 for offences u/s 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC on the allegation that, he had assaulted a 16 year old girl by name Gowri. As a counter blast, Susila has lodged the present complaint against the parents of Gowri, namely Ramesh and Selvi that they had assaulted her.

In the considered opinion of this Court, the present complaint is only a counter blast and therefore, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR.
