Respondent Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 24.06.2015 and give permission to conduct the dance program in the event of the Sri Ankalaparameswari Amman Thirukoil Festival On 17.07.2015 at Katteri Jendakaravattam Pakkrithakka Village and Post Jollarpettai Vellore. ORDER

With consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner is the Member of Sri Ankalaparameswari Amman Thirukoil Festival Committee and has intended to conduct the Temple festival in a grand and peaceful manner and in this regard, submitted an application dated 24-06-2015, seeking permission to conduct cultural event, which includes a dance program in connection with the Temple festival. Since no orders have been passed, he has filed this writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the festival will be conducted in a peaceful manner without creating any law and order problem, and there will be no obscenity or vulgarity during the programme.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader. 5.

This Court considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 24-06-2015 and pass orders thereon as per law, on or before 15-07-2015 and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
