No. 50 of 2013 and quash the same as illegal and consequentially direct the Additional Labour Court, 1/4

O R D E R

(through video conference) The Presiding Officer, Additional Labour Court, Coimbatore (hereinafter referred to as the 'Labour Court' for short) by letter dated 02.09.2020 has explained the reasons for inability to dispose E.A. No. 56 of 2014 in E.P. No. 50 of 2013 within the time limit granted by this Court in the order dated 14.02.2020 passed in this Writ Petition and has sought for extension of time for compliance. 2.

It is represented by Mr.T.Saikrishnan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. K.Sathiyamurthi, Learned Counsel for the Second Respondent that hearing of cases either by physical appearance or through video conference in the Labour Courts in the State is not taking place due to the prevailing lockdown on account of COVID pandemic. Having due regard to the same, time is extended by a period of eight weeks from the date on which hearing of cases before the 2/4

concerned Labour Court resumes. The report of compliance shall be sent to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court without fail. 14.09.2020 (3/3) Maya Note : Issue order copy by 17.09.2020.
