O R D E R

This transfer petition is filed by the wife in a matrimonial dispute seeking transfer of I.D.O.P.No.16 of 2017 on the file of the Principal District Judge, Vellore, Vellore District to the Family Court, Chennai.

The respondent-husband has filed I.D.O.P.No.16 of 2017 on the file of the Principal District Court, Vellore for dissolution of marriage held between the petitioner and the respondent on 27.11.2013 on the ground of cruelty. 3.

In paragraph 3 of the affidavit filed in support of the petition, it is stated by the petitioner that she apprehends danger at the hands of the respondent-husband. Hence, the petitioner seeks transfer of I.D.O.P.No.16 of 2017 from Vellore to Chennai.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. It is to be noted that the respondent has not appeared in person or through counsel despite service of notice.

Considering the convenience of the wife, it is appropriate to transfer the I.D.O.P.No.16 of 2017 pending on the file of the Principal District Judge, Vellore to Chennai. 6.

Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P is allowed and I.D.O.P.No.16 of 2017 pending on the file of the Principal District Judge, Vellore shall stand withdrawn and transferred to any of the Family Courts in Chennai. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
