Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Commission to dispose of the petitioner's appeals dated 28.10.2015, 18.01.2016, 19.01.2016, 26.02.2016, 05.03.2016 filed under the Right to Information Act, 2005, pending before the Respondent's Commission, within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court. For Petitioner :

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that Public Information Officer and first appellate authority, namely the Regional Transport Office, Erode East has not provided the information sought for by him and he has also filed second appeals dated 28.10.2015, 18.01.2016, 19.01.2016, 26.02.2016 and 05.03.2016 before the respondent Commission and since the said appeals have not been disposed of, came forward to file the present writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Niranjan Rajagopal, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeals dated 28.10.2015, 18.01.2016, 19.01.2016, 26.02.2016 and 05.03.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
