Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the 2nd respondent, the Inspector of Police, Kodungaiyur Police Station, Chennai, not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2024.

O R D E R

The petitioner is the father of the minor child. Based on the said complaint given by the wife of the petitioner, the respondent police has called the petitioner herein. Since the petitioner has already initiated Guardian Original Petition before the Family Court at Madurai, is before this Court seeking protection from police harassment.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the petitioner was not harassed in any manner. Infact, on the complaint given by his wife, the petitioner was called and after satisfied that it is only a dispute regarding the custody of the minor girl who is presently with the petitioner herein and proceedings is pending before the Family Court regarding the custody of the child, they have closed the complaint.

3. In view of the above fact, this Court finds that there is no substance to entertain the petition. Hence, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
