O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents police not to harass petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, the petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.66 of 2018 for the offence under Section 294(b), 324, 506(ii) IPC on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Tiruchencode, Namakkal District. Hence, the respondent police has no role to play in this matter.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry. If at all any cognizable offence is meted out as against the petitioner, the respondent police is at liberty to enquire the matter in accordance with law.
