Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the 4th respondent to give the police protection to the petitioner and his family to take necessary action based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2013. Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner had sought for direction to the fourth respondent seeking protection for himself and his family members based on the representation dated 13.02.2013 given by him. 3.When the matter was called, Mr.K.Balamurugan, the learned Government Advocate produced a letter from the fourth respondent dated 02.03.2013 stating that the petitioner had certain dispute with the wife of one Nandagopal and that the issue has now been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

compromised amicably between them. In this regard, the petitioner has also given a letter dated 02.03.2013, to the fourth respondent stating that he is withdrawing this writ petition.

4.In view of the same, there would be no useful purpose to keep the present writ petition pending and accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
