Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to provide information under Right to Information Act, 2005 from the third respondent to the petitioner based on petitioner's second appeal dated 18.01.2012.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner, earlier approached the third respondent under the Right to Information Act, 2005 seeking details as to the utilization of the amounts for the welfare of the public of Kalangal Panchayat in respect of the years 2005-2006 to 2009-2010. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the third respondent has furnished only https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

partial information and though he approached the second respondent, nothing had fructified and therefore, filed second appeal before the first respondent on 18.01.2012, followed by a reminder dated 23.05.2012 and since, the said appeals/petitions have not been disposed of, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3 and Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned counsel who accepts notice for the first respondent.

4. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the first respondent to entertain the appeal dated 23.05.2012, if the papers are otherwise in order and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
