Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by the private respondent in S.No.144/2 and S.No.145 in Sathapadi Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District by disposing of the petitioners representation dated 20.09.2022 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.540 dated 04.12.2014. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.A.Rajakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

2. Learned Government Advocate submits that the lands in S.Nos.144/2 and 145 are Government Poromboke Odai. The authorities would conduct a survey within a period of four months from today and if encroachment is found upon survey, action, in accordance with law, would be undertaken for removal of the encroachment.

3. In view of the said statement, no further orders are necessary in the present writ petition. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
