Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the respondent/Inspector of Police,K-1, Sembium Police Station, Sembium, Chennai, to register a case on the petitioner's complaint, dated 17.01.2015, against the persons mentioned in the compliant.

O R D E R

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 17.01.2015, enquiry was conducted, and the petitioner appeared for enqiry before the Police, and given a statement that he would settle the matter with the person accused of in this complaint. The learned counsel submitted that eventhough the petitioner has given statement before the Police that he would settle the dispute with the complainant-Jothi Ramalingam, thereafter, Jothi Ramalingam is threatening the petitioner, and therefore, FIR has to be registered against the said Jothi Ramalingam, and this Petition is filed seeking direction upon the respondent-Police to take action on the compliant, dated 17.01.2015. 2.

Admittedly, the compliant given by the petitioner was enquired into, and the petitioner appeared before the Police and given statement that he would compromise the matter with the complainant-Jothi Ramalingam, therefore, based on his statement, the complaint was closed. Now, the petitioner states that thereafter, the said Jothi Ramalingam is not repaying the amount and is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

threatening the petitioner. In that case, the petitioner has to give another complaint, as the complaint, dated 17.01.2015 was enquired into and on the basis of the statement of the petitioner, the same was closed. Hence, this Court is of the view that no further action is required.
