Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose the representation made by the petitioner dated 17.03.2024 under Section 48 or 48B of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, and pass such further orders.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of his representation dated 17.03.2024 requesting reconveyance of his land situate in S.No.357/7B with an extent of 42 cents acquired for the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that though the petitioner's land was acquired long back, the same has not been utilized by the respondent for the purpose for which it was acquired. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 17.03.2024 seeking reconveyance of the land, but, the same has not been considered till date. Aggrieved by the 2/4

same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 5, would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time limit prescribed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
