O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the 2nd respondent dated 24.07.2023 in accordance with law within a time fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that property measuring 0-31.00 hectare in Survey No. 49/2 situated in Kalliparai, Kalvarayan Hills taluk, Kallakurichi District has been in his possession and enjoyment of the same. According to the petitioner, the 2nd respondent fraudulently obtained patta in his favour and the same was objected by the petitioner by making a representation before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi. Based on the objection made by the petitioner, the patta in favour of 2nd respondent was cancelled by RDO. Aggrieved by the same, the 2nd respondent filed a revision before the 1st respondent on 24.07.2023 and the same is pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the 1st respondent submitted that the revision pending before the 1st respondent will be disposed of on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court. 2/4

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the revision filed by the 2nd respondent dated 24.07.2023 and pass final orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
