(Order of the Court was delivered by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed an application for issuance of community certificate in favour of his daughter R.Divyashree, stating that they belongs to Hindu Ganjam Reddi. However, the same was rejected by stating that the said Certificate is not issued in second respondent office.
2. According to the learned Special Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the said rejection order, he can very well prefer an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvannamalai challenging the order of the second respondent. Without exhausting the alternative remedy, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.
3. As rightly pointed out by the learned Special Govt. Pleader appearing for the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court without exhausting the alternative remedy available before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvannamalai. The petitioner has to approach the competent authority by way of an appeal.

4. In view of the above, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Consequently, the Writ petition stands dismissed as not maintainable. It is open to the petitioner to approach the competent authority within a period of two weeks from today. No costs.
