ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2022 wherein the petitioner has requested the third respondent to register the petitioner's name in the employment register.

2. Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing in the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, she is called as Shanthi @ Dhanam. The contention of the petitioner is that in some of her certificates, her name is mentioned as Dhanam and in some others, it is mentioned as Shanthi. According to her, due to the aforementioned factors, the third respondent is not registering her name in the employment register. The petitioner has given representation on 04.04.2022 requesting the third respondent to register her name in the employment register. Since the representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard Mr.K.Kathiresan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

5. The petitioner has filed documents along with this writ petition to substantiate her claim that she is called as Shanthi @ Dhanam. She seeks for registering her name in the employment register of the third respondent. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2022 requesting the third respondent to register her name in the employment register on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner including granting her a right of personal hearing.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of . No costs.
