Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.05.2021 and grant 30 days ordinary leave to the petitioner's father namely, Mathaiyan, son of Govindasamy, aged 56 years, Life Convict, Ct.No.2375, Central Prison, Vellore.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed for release of one Mathaiyan, son of Govindasamy, aged 56 years, Life Convict No.2375, lodged in Central Prison, Vellore, on leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, on the ground that the son of Mathaiyan is getting married on 14.06.2021. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 05.05.2021 to the respondents, seeking leave for Mathaiyan under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

submitted that, the representation dated 05.05.2021 has been received and the authorities are processing the same, in order to verify about the veracity of the marriage.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed, with a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 05.05.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 10.06.2021. No costs.
