Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to award full 5 marks without reducing one mark for the answers given for Question No. 31 in Section -C of Part-I (Botany) of Biology Subject, to the petitioner having Registration No. 391550 in the Higher Secondary Public Examinations, March, 2017.

This writ petition is filed for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to award full 5 marks without reducing one mark for the answers given for Question No. 31 in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Section -C of Part-I (Botany) of Biology Subject, to the petitioner having Registration No. 391550 in the Higher Secondary Public Examinations, March, 2017.

Since the marks obtained in Higher Secondary Public Examinations are no longer a criteria for admission to Medical Colleges and only the marks secured in NEET will be considered for admission to Medical Colleges, no purpose will be achieved even if the petitioner is awarded additional marks. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
