[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant 30 days leave without escort to the petitioner/convict, namely, S.Poovarasi, D/o.T.M.Sampanthan in pursuant of her representation dated 11.05.2021 in the light of the direction given by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Re: Contagion of Covid 19 Virus in Prisons [Suo Moto Writ Petition (Civil) No01 of 2020). https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that she is a Life Convict, undergoing sentence in Central Prison, Puzhal and that, she has submitted an application dated 11.05.2021 to the respondents, seeking leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, which has not been disposed of by the respondents, so far.

4. On instructions, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that, the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2021, is under consideration by the respondents.

5. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed, with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
