PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first and second respondents to allot an MLA Official Chamber in the Office of the Pallavaram Municipality, Pammal Municipality, Anagaputhur Municipality for the purpose of meeting the constituency people, within a time frame.

Heard Ms.K.Suhasini, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.V.Shanmugasundar, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4; Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 5 & 7; Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Standing Counsel for the sixth respondent and perused the records.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to allot an MLA Official Chamber in the Office of the Pallavaram Municipality, Pammal Municipality, Anagaputhur Municipality for the purpose of meeting the constituency people within a time frame.

3. Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 5 and 7 submitted that as per the request of the petitioner, a place was allotted in Pallavaram Municipality on 04.08.2017 and hence, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

4. In the light of the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 5 and 7, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous as no further adjudication is necessary in this Writ Petition.
