ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) Prayer sought in this writ petition is for a writ of mandamus, to direct the Debts Recovery Tribunal - II, Chennai, to take up and dispose of S.A.No.371 of 2024 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. In order to take up and dispose of S.A.No.371 of 2024, pending before the Debts Recovery Tribunal - II, Chennai, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner. Since there are a number of cases pending before the Debts Recovery Tribunal, chronologically cases would be taken up for final hearing.

3. When that being so, a mandamus cannot be issued by directing the Debts Recovery Tribunal to take up a particular case on priority basis, as the other cases which might have been filed prior to the petitioner's case would get affected. Therefore, if at all the petitioner expresses any urgency to decide S.A.No.371 of 2024 pending before the Debts Recovery Tribunal - II, Chennai, such a plea could very well be raised by the petitioner by filing an appropriate application for fixing an early date for final hearing of the said SA before the Debts Recovery Tribunal.

4. With these observations, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
