O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to register the details of 13 students in DGNM Course by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2017.

According to the petitioner, she is the Correspondent of Pattammal School of Nursing at Sakkotai, Kumbakonam. The institution is also conducting a course of Diploma in General Nursing (DGNM). The sanctioned strength is 20 for the academic year 2016-2017. The DGNM Course is a three year programme and all the students had completed one year of their course and all of them have to write their 1st year examination by September, 2017. For that purpose, the petitioner institution to register the names of all the students with the 2nd respondent, who in turn, will issue the hall tickets. Accordingly, the details of three students have been furnished to the 2nd respondent during March, 2017 and for the remaining 13 students in April, 2017. Thus, there was a delay of around 15 days in providing the details of 13 students for registration due to administrative reasons. But, the 2nd respondent had refused to receive and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

register the same. Thereafter, the petitioner has given a representation dated 19.05.2017 to the respondents herein since the lives of 13 students are at stake. But, there was no response. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Though the prayer in this Writ Petition is to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.05.2017, a perusal of the copy of the representation in the typed set shows that the representation said to have been sent to the respondents does not carry the date.

Considering the above facts and circumstances and also considering the limited prayer made in the Writ Petition, the petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation said to have been already sent to the respondents within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order to the respondents and on receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
