The present petition is filed seeking for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.2383 of 2005 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, Chennai.

2. There is no appearance for petitioner. Heard the learned counsel for respondent.

C.T.SELVAM, J dn/rsi 3.A reading of the complaint informs that the offences which are in the nature of defence. The ground regarding issuance of statutory notice in a place without trial Courts jurisdiction, is no longer available in the light of the Judgment of the Apex Court in Bridgestone India Private Limited Vs. Inderpal Singh(2016(2) SCC 75).

4.The petition stands dismissed. Learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, Chennai is directed to dispose of C.C.No.2383 of 2005 as expeditiously as possible, on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
