O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in Crime No.127 of 2021, on the file of the Inspector of Police, J 3 Guindy Police Station, Chennai.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 14/3/2021, at 20.00 p.m., a complaint was registered to the effect that four members have entered RSP hospital premises in the pretext of taking treatment and assaulted the staff members of the hospital and snatched jewels from them. They have also taken a car and CCTC hard disk from the complainant's daughter and ran away.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been falsely implicated solely on the confession of a co-accused.

The learned counsel appearing for the Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) would submit that the petitioner was arrested on 22/3/2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 302 and 201 IPC. If the petitioner is released on bail, he will definitely tamper the evidences. He would further submit that investigation is still pending and moreover, the petitioner is facing seven previous cases.

5. As the allegations appear to be serious, and also considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and this petition deserves to be dismissed.

6. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
