With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to dispose the Revision Petition dated 18.07.2023 filed by the petitioner. 1/4
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

It is the case of the petitioner that his grandfather Annamalai Chettiar established a Trust in the name of "Velappadi R.Annamalai Chettiar Pariyal Late V.A.Duraikannammal Trust" and transferred the subject property viz., R.S.Nos.1151, 1084, 1150 situated at old No.23, New No.15, Pethunaicken Pettai, First Narayanan Street, George Town, Chennai, to an extent of 2074 sq.ft. to the said Trust. In this regard, several representations were made seeking transfer of patta in the name of the Trust. Since the Tahsildar passed an order dismissing the said claim, the petitoner, filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, which also came to be dismissed on 20.06.2023, as against which, the petitioner filed a revision before the respondent on 18.07.2023 and it has not been decided so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, the respondent is directed to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner on 18.07.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on its own merits and 2/4
in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No To The District Revenue Officer, Collector Office Chennai.
