Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2017 to demolish the existing structure which was damaged due to the act of respondents and for putting up a new construction at 198-B, Pattinathar Koil Street, Tiruvottiyur Kuppam, Tiruvottiyur, Chennai 600 019 within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

The petitioner, claiming to be the resident of the premises situated at Door No.198 B, Pattinathar Koil Street, Tiruvottiyur Kuppam, Tiruvottiyur, Chennai 600 019, has made a representation before the first respondent on 18.12.2017, wherein and whereby, she made an allegation as though her property got damaged during the process of laying the underground pipeline on 27.11.2017, by the people belonging to the first respondent Corporation and their contractors. Therefore, the petitioner, complaining that the building is in dilapidated condition, sought for an alternative accommodation. 2.This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the factual aspect of the matter, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide.
3.Learned counsel for the first respondent fairly submitted that the application filed by the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law.
4.Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall produce necessary documents in support of her claim before the first respondent so as to enable the said authority to take a just and proper decision. No costs.
